Heaven (the New Jerusalem)

Who will be there?

• Those who have been born again (John 3:3)

• Those who faithfully looked forward to Christ before his birth (Heb. 11:10, 16)

• The elect angels (Dan. 7:10; 1 Tim. 5:21; Heb. 12:22; Rev. 5:11)

What will they experience?

• Holiness (Rev. 21:27)

• Beauty (Ps. 50:2)

• Unity (Eph. 1:10)

• Perfection (1 Cor. 13:10)

• Joy (Ps. 16:11)

• No tears (Rev. 7:17; 21:4)

• No sickness or pain (Rev. 21:4; 22:2)

• No death (Isa. 25:8; 1 Cor. 15:26; Rev. 21:4)

• No thirst or hunger (Rev. 7:16)

• No sin or judgment (Rev. 21:27; 22:3)

• No need for sun or moon (Rev. 21:23)

• No night (Rev. 21:25; 22:5)

How long will it last?

Hell

Who will be there?

• The devil and his angels and all unredeemed humans (Matt. 25:31–46; Rev. 20:10)

What will they experience?

• Undiluted divine wrath (Hab. 3:2; Rev. 14:9–10)

• Unquenchable fire (Matt 13:41–42; 18:8; Mark 9:43)

• Misery and pain (Rev. 14:9–11)

• Frustration and anger (Matt. 13:42; 24:51)

• Separation (Rev. 2:11; 20:6, 15)

• Memory and remorse (Luke 16:19–31)

• Unquenchable thirst (Luke 16:24–26)

How long will it last?
